St Andrew’s

St Andrew’s Church

151 Thomson Street, Tinwald, Ashburton

St Andrew’s has a small congregation, which was what attracted some of them to worship there. Sunday services are drawn from a New Zealand Prayer Book and many of the congregation participate in aspects of the service.

Sermons are offered by local clergy and lay ministers, and occasional guest preachers. The church has an electronic organ and a piano, and uses a mix of traditional hymns, and songs from the past 50 years.
